My Review:

Overall the game felt very repetitive to the point it felt boring to keep playing. After finding one mage (a trader inside the game) I quickly noticed that the trades for that mage were the same as every other mage I was able to find. While on the subject of trades, outside of one or two items offered by each vendor it seemed as though most of the trades you could make were very dull in that they didn’t seem necessary even for the class you choose to play. One aspect I did enjoy seeing of the trades was the way in which npc’s buy items, as they only buy the certain items they are looking for, which I found nice. I spent most of my time exploring dungeons and underground, and while I found the dungeon aspect of the game enjoyable I do wish each dungeon was a bit larger. On the subject of dungeons, most of them are riddled with storage containers that hold nothing, with the only useful containers to open being in rooms where more often than not they are the only thing to be seen. The combat system in the game however was a good bit of fun, and was one of the main things I enjoyed in the game. There is also a settlement making element of the game I did not experiment with but it looked nice. I will cut the game some slack since it is currently in 1.0 and I played solo and I do feel the game would be a blast to play with friends. I will likely return to review this game again later on

What I think could be improved

  • If you keep multiple of the same trader, randomize the trades so each one feels unique and adds diversity

  • Add more items to the trade pools of the traders

  • Add more random items to loot pools in chests of dungeons and caves

  • Make more use of the containers in the dungeons

  • Make dungeons larger (add more unique rooms to explore in them)

That is all my notes for now…
